Luoyang Lutong Releases LTC204P Combination Vibratory Road Roller for Municipal & Asphalt Pavement Compaction

2026-09-10

Luoyang Lutong, a leading Chinese manufacturer of road compaction machinery, has unveiled its versatile LTC204P combination vibratory road roller, a 4-ton class compact compaction machine tailored for municipal road repair, parking lot construction, sidewalk works and asphalt surface finishing.

The LTC204P adopts a unique combination design: a front smooth steel drum paired with four rear smooth rubber tires. This innovative layout merges the high vibration compaction capacity of steel-drum rollers and the kneading effect of pneumatic tire rollers, which is especially ideal for asphalt pavement. It effectively seals tiny voids on asphalt layers and improves surface density and smoothness, avoiding over-compaction and cracking risks on thin asphalt courses.

Powered by the Quanchai V20-38C41 Stage IV diesel engine, the machine outputs stable power with low emissions and reliable performance under varied site conditions. Equipped with full hydraulic drive and hydraulic steering, it supports stepless travel speed adjustment from 0 to 12 km/h. The front drum features independent vibration function, with vibration frequency of 50Hz, amplitude of 0.5mm and excitation force of 30kN, delivering consistent compaction results. Its gradeability reaches 25%, enabling stable operation on slopes and complicated terrain.

Compact dimension is one of the major highlights of LTC204P. With small turning radius and flexible maneuverability, the roller can easily access narrow construction zones where large rollers cannot work. The machine is fitted with scrapers and intermittent water sprinkling systems on both front drum and rear tires to prevent asphalt adhesion. The ergonomic operator station comes with simplified single-lever control, good all-around visibility and shock-absorbing seat, lowering operator fatigue during long working shifts.

Designed for easy maintenance and long service life, key hydraulic and service points are well arranged for quick inspection and part replacement. Widely adopted in urban road renovation, residential area road construction, small highway sections and foundation compaction projects, the LTC204P offers contractors a cost-effective and reliable compaction solution.

As global infrastructure investment continues to grow, Lutong keeps optimizing compact compaction equipment for overseas markets. The new LTC204P combination roller expands Lutong’s product portfolio, helping global customers achieve high-quality, efficient and low-cost road construction.
